FWIW, something like 73% of Jackie Sherrill's top recruits are now in prison

most thuggish college football team
Hawaii, without question.
They have been in like 6 brawls over the last decade, they take renegade players who can't qualify elsewhere, and their players get arrested far more than the usual college football players
Their fans are also the worst to opposing fans as well (throwing stuff at them, fights, etc) and the cops there don't do anything about it. I've had this confirmed by an ex-GF who lives out there right now as well as some Fresno St fans who have made the trip out there twice. SEC fans might be vocal and passionate, but Hawaii fans truly take it up a notch into Mexican-soccer-fan-nasty territory.

Many ways to define "thugs"....USC penalties, personal fouls, etc., but you have to consider UF's player arrest record since Meyer arrived.
quote:
The arrest rate for the football team going back to Meyer's first season in 2005 is roughly 10 percent (24 arrests out of 239 players listed on the official roster).
Compare these numbers to the general population. In 2004, the last year statistics are available, the Uniform Crime Reporting Program of the Department of Justice reported the arrest rate in the United States to be 4.7 percent (4,752.4 arrests per 100,000 residents).

Which makes it ridiculous to say Miami is the most thug right now, when they aren't the most thug in their own state.

virginia tech has had plenty of thuggish players. frank beamer may be one of the best and classiest coaches around, but he always puts some future convicts on the football field
