Forgot how awesome that putt at the US open was by Tiger. I will also second Jason Lezack leading the americans to the comback victory in the 08' olympics. Also when phelps beat that dude by .0001' of a second for his 7th gold of the games. Watched that at Corona bar and grill in KC and the entire place was off the wall.

Yeah, that was amazing. Woke the house up shouting at 0 dark thirty during the Portugal match.

I'll exclude the USC stuff, since the LSU fans are doing the same for their Tigers:

1979 California Angels win AL West pennant. Yes we can!

1986 ALCS loss to Boston. Angels were one pitch away from their first WS, and Donnie Moore gave up a HR, we ended up losing the game and then the series. Exciting, then devastating. Worse for Moore than me, as he committed suicide later.

1994 World Cup: Wynalda scores free kick goal to tie Switzerland 1-1. Our guys can do that? Dayum.

1994 World Cup: USA beats Colombia 2-1, on hapless Andres Escobar's own goal. Watched overseas with Euro-folk (Irish, Spanish, English) dissing us the whole time, and then we WIN over a heavily favored South American team. I became a soccer fan.

2002 ALCS vs. Yankees: I knew the Angels couldn't be stopped after this.

2002 World Series Championship: Angels beat SF and Barry Bones in Game 7. Thanks for the memory, Lackey. Gene Autry smiles in heaven, along with many other long suffering Angels fans.

2003 USA vs. Mexico: La Revancha en la Cancha...
OK, it ended in a 0-0 tie, but it was my first USA vs. MEX match in person, and the atmosphere was off the chain. Nice roadie to Houston, fantastic Mexican food there (nothing beats those roadside taco stands), and the Mexican girls were suprisingly beautiful (although I think they were really Americans of Mexican descent, mostly).
Tim Howard was a brick wall, and his performance earned him a contract at Manchester United. I jumped out of my skin when I thought Brian McBride scored, but he hit the side netting.

Non-Alabama moments...

Sid Bream sliding into home plate against the Pirates in 1992.

David Justice homerun in 1995 World Series against Indians.

I've got nothing else, as the Jets have done nothing much in my lifetime.
