LOSS
This is probably a "best case" scenario for them, but I could easily see them going 6-6 with the other two losses coming from any of Miami, BYU or Michigan.
I don't see how that's "best case". You have a loss to a team the Irish beat by three scores last year, and who knows how Stanford's going to be this year. Huge wildcard.
I'm not saying you won't be right, but "best case" is certainly not accurate.
As for Pinkett's comments, they were not exactly the smartest things to say.

People think because Luck's gone they'll suck. Their defense will be better, and their offense is predicated upon a dozer-like O-line and the running game. They'll be good.

I don't think they'll suck. 3-4 losses or so. I just don't think having them as a loss at home is part of the "best case scenario" for ND.

He also had you beating Michigan, which is highly improbable, but I don't see you squawking about that.

What he is saying is that they need a couple of tough minded kids..the ones that would throw the first punch in a confrontation. I think he used a poor choice of words...
He wants the guys that has an edge and a little nastiness. He wanTs guys that will hit ya and then fed you words. Not hit you and help you up

It's not really highly improbable if you've been paying attention to the recent games, and it's home at night.
ETA: Also, ND's favored in Vegas.

Gotta love this one..
quote:
USC linebacker Simione Vehikite returned to practice Wednesday after getting released from jail earlier this week. Vehitike served more than three months for leaving the scene of a car accident and driving with an .08% blood-alcohol level and causing injury.
He was actually sentenced to a year back in May for the two felony counts.
USC coach Lane Kiffin did not announce Vehitike's return but it might explain why walk-on linebacker Will Andrew is no longer on scholarship.

He's a kid who got drunk and stupid. Just like your messiah QB. Miles gave Mettenberger a second chance after Richt dumped him, Kiffin's giving Vehekite a second chance too.
It is kind of ironic when you consider I started this post based off a Domer analyst suggesting we put "criminals" on our teams to make them successful.
I lol'd a little.

im okay with the second chance but they fricked the walk on over. But I'm sure they worked something out for the WO

I don't remember Mett doing Jail time and being a convicted felon..
Nice try though..
what the usc guy did was dumb? No shite he also injured others, but that's right along kiffins avenue. Win at all cost.

Vehikite is a convicted felon because he got drunk and got behind the wheel, then got into an accident, panicked and fled; Mett was convicted of sexual battery, and alcohol was also involved in his poor choice.
This isn't an attack on your QB, but he got a second chance, so why shouldn't our guy?
