The Division I and Division V brackets have... SEVEN teams in the playoffs. 7. SEVEN.
The 1 seed has a bye into the state semi-finals.

It's awful in every sport. I haven't looked, but I'm sure there are some 2-19 teams somewhere in the bracket.
But how dumb is it when your top select class has so few teams?
The whole thing is an absolute clusterfrick and the LHSAA should be ashamed of themselves every time they release a bracket in any sport.

How is it more stupidity? It's been this way since the split.
To be honest they made a great move this year! They have decided to bring only the top 4 in each class and division to Sulphur for Semi's and Finals, instead of top 8 like years past. Making some very lopsided Quarterfinals.
Back to your point it's been that way from the split so show me more stupidity?

I like top 4 because you no longer have to play 2 games on championship day.
It is ridiculous to have 5 select divisions
1&2 should be combined as well as 3-5....
Or at very least 3 divisions w min of 16 teams in each
I have a kid that will step in the circle Friday in 5A.
