Just showed it on TNT. Ernie and Kenny were choked up. Amazing words by a amazing man. The Pelicans and their fans were lucky to have him.

Wow.
That's an amazing eulogy by a man blessed with amazing faith.
RIP to his wife and best wishes to him and his family

"We didn't lose her. When you lose something you can't find it, I know exactly where my wife is."
What a profound thought. Struck me the most out of everything he said.
I certainly was never Monty's biggest fan here as a coach, but he is a great man and is loved by his players, and after watching that its easy to see why.

Agree on that sticking out as a profound statement. Monty is a great guy, and after looking into certain videos/articles about this tragedy, it seems his late wife was just as good a person.

I lost it when he said this. Charles Barkley said what I was thinking, "he's a better man than me".

Wow, what a brave an incredible man. Don't know much about Coach Williams, but that is one incredibly humble and well spoken individuals. Wish nothing but the best for him moving forward.

Saw some of this on TNT last night, and I just watched my TV mesmerized at the things he was saying, and amazed at that kind of perspective from someone who just lost the love of his life.
I actually felt better after listening to him speak. That was uplifting as hell.
That eulogy deserves its own thread IMO so people can hear it.

He asked for prayers not just for his family, but also for the other family. Said he had no ill will towards them.
I read a few days ago that the car that crossed over was going 93mph 1 sec before impact (recovered data from onboard computer, I assume). Was this a suicide or just the world's worse driver?

I sent it to my Dad and a few others this morning. Monty has such an incredible outlook, just days after his wife's death. And how many other folks would take an attitude of anger or vengeance towards the woman who hit his wife? Incredible stuff all around from a great man.
