The AL has 3-4 playoff built teams. October is going to be crazy.
Red Sox @ Royals with Sale on the mount in a WC game would be epic.
Then Yankees/Indians and Astros/Royals or Red Sox. It will be huge for whoever gets home field between Yanks and Indians

And you know it will take one elite prospect...

I just don't want theYanks to get swept. I don't feel they are ready yet so this year has just been a fun ride. I've said before 2019i expect the Yanks to win the series.

how is that different than what you guys are proposing to them? i dont see any one elite guy in any of the rumored offers for gray from the yankees

I actually like the Yankees' matchup against Cleveland, as odd as that sounds. I think with home field, they can beat either Cleveland or Kansas City.
Houston has New York's number. That will be a very, very tough hill to climb. Would probably need Boston to take Houston out somehow. I guess if they can take one of the first two in Houston, Sale would likely win Game 3 and put Houston's backs against the wall. Houston would still probably win that series in 5, though.

This is how I feel about Cleveland and KC. 1-5 vs Cleveland. And we went 3-4 vs KC and that was when they weren't playing well.

Well the good thing is you guys could avoid them altogether.

Well one the Yanks aren't as close as the Dodgers. Gray doesn't put us in the drivers seat, or in the case of the Dodgers in the WS. Two Frazier is already in the majors and performing, so he isn't a MLB prospect IMO at this point. Third, if the Yanks were in position to where Gray was the difference maker I would say go for it.

KC I feel good about.. Cleveland, Houston, and Boston over 7 games I do no. Unless Price is out for awhile then we would only we Sale maybe twice.

Ultime shite for the Dodgers would be Milwaukee holding on somehow and winning the central.
Then LA has to go through the Cubs and Nats back to back.

thats not the point. you said it would take an elite prospect to get gray, and by all the rumors, the yankees are about to get him without giving one up. why would that be different for the dodgers?
im not saying that alvarez and/or calhoun would or should get gray. but its absolutely at the same level, if not better, than what the yankees are offering for him. and if that isnt enough for the a's then oh well

Yankees' young core owns Boston's young core.
I agree, though, about feeling better about Kansas City than Cleveland.

Yankees are not going to get him without giving up someone of note. I think that is the biggest hangout because it will take someone better than what the Yanks are offering

That may be but I'm not sure I trust our rotation over 7 games and some of those young players. I think players like Sanchez, Frazier, Judge, Severino will press during a playoff series and struggle

None of the young Boston guys have done shite in the playoffs, either. Besides get their arse beat by Cleveland last year.
Sale would be the worry, of course. Would have to find a way to beat him once.

The #WhiteSox have acquired RHP A.J. Puckett & LHP Andre Davis from the Royals in exchange for Melky Cabrera & cash considerations.
