Yeah..I think he will be shown the door in the next couple of months.

I feel bad for the guy because he got a roster projected on him that completely sucks and will suck for the forseeable future.

Yeah, it's a weird team.

Not old, but aging.

Lineup lacks punch for the first time in years, but weren't really any options for them (and they smartly let Hammy walk).

Rotation is probably as strong as it has been in the Daniels era. Pen is stacked.

The Nellie situation throws everything out of whack. I would say sell, but what do you even sell? Probably could get something for Nathan.

Not moving Yu, Holland or Andrus. Beltre is a chip, but no real motivation to move him either, unless you want Probar at 3B. Kinsler could be intriguing I suppose.

Terrible contract. Still has 4 years left at $15 million per. I'm not sure he is worth that contract.

If Olt was still in the system, I'd be interested to see what Beltre could bring back. He's getting older and the longer the Rangers wait to move him, which will happen eventually, the lower the return they would get for him. There's really no viable replacement for him right now. But it's a very interesting thought.

I like having Beltre where he is. When offense is your problem (and could be a concern next year), why trade your best offensive player?

He brings good leadership to the team as well.

Furthermore, could he pass a physical with his hamstring as it is?

The Red Sox don't seem to be looking for bats, but a return to Boston would make sense since they have shite at 3B.

Sorry I just can't take you seriously. I don't believe you know what you're talking about.

Look at the Rangers record against the AL Central this season:

1-2 vs. Chicago (who should be thankful Houston moved to the AL this year)
1-5 vs. Cleveland
2-2 vs. Minnesota (seriously?)
2-1 vs. Kansas City
4-3 vs. Detroit (3-1 when the Rangers were good, but 1-2 during their freefall).

Overall thats 10-13 against what may be the worst division in the entire MLB. They should easily be well above .500 against this bunch.

Oakland is simply the best team in the division. That isn't changing any time soon.

You are correct about the A's.

But.....when the Rangers played the Sox, they weren't in full sell mode and tailspin like they are now. I think we should be able to take them up here.

As for the Twins, I think those are winable games because again, you're not talking about a very good team.

Cleveland and DET are different animals. But I don't think we play either of those teams the rest of the year.

I love Beltre and everything he brings to the table. That said, age man. I don't think we keep him until he finishes his contract... so the long you wait, the lesser the return. This also depends on the mindset for the future of our team.

I know Boston has said Xander is pretty much untouchable. But, if the Rangers put Beltre on the table, you would think they would listen.

Dude, I was in Cleveland this past weekend with my two brothers for the series. What a fricking house of horrors. The fans were actually pretty nice, but man the Rangers stunk it up.

It will be interesting to see if a full remake of the roster happens. I am not sure it will. I think you can be a buyer and a seller at once if you can help your team.

The pitching is there. With Yu, Holland, Garza with Harrison coming back. You also have Perez and Ogando with Feliz and Lewis coming back...

hearing there could be a potential trade between the Tigers and Giants. Lincecum and solid RP Javier Lopez .. who would Detroit give up for those 2 ?

Castellanos would be too high of a price for those two. Plus I think the Tigers plan on using him this year at some point. I could see Garcia though.

For some reason, though, weird stuff happens when they come to town. And it's not always on the field.

Example: A few years ago I had tickets to a game against them in mid-August. I should be frying and dying during the game even at night.

But the night before the game, a cold front moves in, and I'm watching a mid-August game with temps in the 70's.

Thankfully we don't.

Again we should. But the AL Central just gives Texas all sorts of problems. It's like bad magic, only real.

The Rangers only have two starters with an OPS+ above 110: Nellie (120) and Beltre (132). You simply can't trade the only above average bat in your lineup that's not about to get suspended. Trading Beltre is not an option.

Signing Young doesn't do anything but rearrange the deck chairs. He gets on more than Moreland, but almost all of that is BA driven, and Moreland has more power. You're better off sticking with Moreland.

They need a big time corner OF or a 1st baseman who can mash. That should be easy to find, but it hasn't been.
