Wish this deal would hurry up and become completed though, it seems I've been reading "Chapman deal almost complete" for 3 days now.

Someone else has to be going to Chicago for Schwarber to be included, Pineda or Eovaldi maybe.
Even that seems like a stretch though

What is Schwarber's role now in Chicago when he comes back after the injury? I'm assuming there's now way he will catch again. Still in the OF, right?
Is that catching prospect still doing well for Chicago? The one who went yard in his first AB?

What max said. He'll be the backup catcher soon. Ross is gone after this year. Montero after next. By that time, zobrist will be about done, Baez will be permanently at 2b, Bryant @3rd & LF will be open for him, if they want to keep him.

Torres is awesome but still a few years away. The time is now for the Cubs and Chapman is an elite back end reliever. If the other guys are your #15 and #20 prospects they can be replaced in short order in the draft next year. Chapman is a game changer in October
