Don't know why Diamonbacks would give up on Miller when his trade value is so low.

Because our front office is a conglomeration of morons that are past their time. Tony LaRussa is a legend, game has passed him by. He's a manager, not a front office guy. Dave Stewart is fricking terrible. We've done nothing but dismantle the farm system for mediocre players. It must be nice knowing that you have some certifiable imbeciles to trade rape in AZ at any point.

. As teams have asked about Miller, the Yankees have talked about how they're focused on Chapman.

That doesn't mean they won't trade Miller eventually -- perhaps even before Aug. 1. But right now, it's all about Chapman, about treating him as a special and distinct opportunity for interested teams.

Candelario rumors are false, he is not a part of the Chapman deal.

Folks asking what hold up is, all trades take a while to finalize. There're a lotta little things to do. Thats why they sometimes fall apart

Also the writer who said the holdup was an extension, now says he thinks he was wrong and the trade is probably going through without it.

I find myself secretly rooting for the Cubs this year. Even though I am a mets fan at heart I enjoy this Cubs team

joel sherman had an interesting point that the yankees should ask for adam warren back. he's sucked in chicago and is in triple-A right now.

he was pretty decent in new york, all things considered.

I'm ok without Warren right now, I hated that they had to give him up but not sure they could use him since he is struggling so.

could be good for him to come back to a place where he's comfortable and knows success, though.

plus, the yankees' pen is garbage outside of the big three guys. i'm assuming if they keep miller (which we don't know if they will), they still have to pretend they will be competing. warren would be a decent guy to plug into the pen if he can have similar numbers to what he had in new york in the past.

if they yankees pull torres and soler for chapman, i'm going to laugh so hard at the reds.

I'm ok with Cessa, Blier, Shreve, and Goody out of the pen... then you have Green who has been a swingman lately.

The deal brought Cincinnati right-handed starting pitcher Rookie Davis, third baseman Eric Jagielo, second baseman Tony Renda and right-handed reliever Caleb Cotham.
