You actually think Kintzler is much of a difference maker? If they wanted to make a run, having Kintzler or not makes little difference. He's a league average reliever. The 10+ million saved is much more valuable.
That's also not just one reason to keep Harper. Maybe they want to stay in his good graces. Maybe he's made it known to them that he doesn't want to be moved. Maybe they haven't gotten a really good offer. Maybe they would rather the draft pick should they lose him to free agency. Who really knows.
