They won’t get past the Dodgers no matter what they do so I’m good with them staying put.

Unless they can trade Riley for more than $8

In this case I think they’re downplaying the injury hoping to not seem desperate and give away any leverage for other players.

Certainly possible. The next few days are going to be very interesting. I'm excited to see what Craig cooks up, but i'm nervous about it too.

Good for Nats fans. Hopefully they can add some bullpen pieces to help that offense. They are fun watch

Hard to imagine Craig and he cooked in the same sentence.

Even if I liked the Mead deal a lot.

Heyman] Yankees are among many teams to check on 3-time All-Star/switch-hitting catcher Adley Rutschman. NYY is casting a wide net for catching need. Ryan Jeffers, pending free agent, seemed logical but Twins suggest they’re a buyer now. Tyler Stephenson, others are on NYY list

Tigers just dumped 4 of 5 when they should have won 4 of 5. Skee-ball has to be gone.

He’s having a brutal year. He looked great for them once upon a time

Amd wasn't much better last year. Would really like Silseth if he ended up on like the Dodgers or Astros or Cleveland . Good makeup but just has no control of his offspeed stuff

He is one of many the Angels front office just plopped in the majors within like 10-12 months of drafting and signing and zero development

There's been some bad deals for sure. Multiple.

His last eight months of roster building are looking pretty good to me.

Remains to be seen, but post Cora absolutely. I think it’s fair to say Cora didn’t share in his vision and was a bigger problem than people want to admit.

Yep, was pretty much the same with Chaim. Cora liked the way Dave did business and the nerds from Yale aren't going to operate that way. Cora started using his stroke with ownership and that worked until it didn't. The extension still cracks me up though.

Short of winning the World Series there's no positive outcome to keeping Skubal. At the end of the season they've got no title, no Skubal, and nothing in return for him.

They have been a playoff team the last 2 years and went out and spent some money in the offseason. Have had some guys out that are coming back, though one of those is Baez who has had one good half season during his 4.5 year tenure there so probably don't really miss him that much.

But, I thought they might think internally they could still make a run. The D-backs made the WS with not much better of a roster very recently.

FSG loves them some premature extensions. Looking at you, Kristian Campbell.
