Yankees 1st team to 70 wins
5th team to 80 wins

Without Judge this team would be toast because no one is hitting but Judge.... pitching has been fine

What jJudge is doing is absurd. But like I said, pitching matters and he murders mediocre to bad pitching, so a 20 HR September is not out of the question. I expect him to pass Maris during the Milwaukee series. Passing Bonds is still unlikely, but teams continue to pitch to him, and he continues to burn them.

Judge is having a HISTORIC year, and Ohtani, while very good, is not having a historic year. If Ohtani was batting .290 with 42 homers, there would be an argument. Leading the Angels offensively does not say a lot. Ohtani in most years would win MVP, but Judge is just too much to overcome.

Ohtani and Judge is going to come down to the wire, may be biased but Judge still has a WAR lead although Ohtani keeps cutting into it. Whoever slumps will lose the award.

IMO, the only way Judge loses it is if he fails to get Maris. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Angels shut down Ohtani in the couple weeks once they are eliminated from playoff contention. Also, Ohtani winning it last year is naturally going to make it more difficult for him to win.

Angels are 16.5 GB of the Wild Card with 27 games to play, they are eliminated

Ohtani is top five in the AL in adjusted ERA and OPS. who has previously done that? Judge hits a lot of homers, but if the season ended today his ops would be good for 173rd all time for a season

This is backwards.

Judge is going to win because Anaheim sucks, but Ohtani is the one having a historic season.

First player ever to have 30 homers and 10 wins.

The Fighting Judges are going to play a DH, so over-under on homers tomorrow for Judge? 2.5?
