Cubs, Dodgers and Yankees all being in the postseason can't hurt

Then you add Toronto to that mix. It's 7th largest metro area in North America. More importantly, it's the only team in Canada. So it may be that you are brining in not just Toronto, but a large part of Canada too....particularly considering Seattle (not far from Vancouver) is also in the mix.

I thought Canadian TV ratings didn’t count for America?

Just imagine the numbers if the games were on regular channels instead of tbs and tru tv.

I enjoy watching the games on Fox.

And one of the games is Seattle vs. Toronto. To me that speaks volumes.

Basically Nielsen is improving how they capture sport ratings so I think you are going to see ratings largely go up this year

This.

The new ratings system that they rolled out a few weeks ago now takes into account viewership at viewing parties, bars, and streaming platforms. The old system was dependent on sampling household viewing on traditional TV only and was most likely under reporting viewers for sporting events.

Yankees and Dodgers increased the viewership. And the Cubs.
