Instead of keeping his head and throwing to first he saw the runner in front of him and lost his head and his team’s season.

The problem is that professionals are also imperfect human beings and imperfect human beings can have brain farts. Is what it is.

It was. That clock sped up in his head so fast. The catcher had just stood up and was pointing to first. Jeez

I’m not sure he would’ve been if the throw had been accurate. Looks like he might’ve missed the plate.

Great coaching would have drilled into his head during the mound meeting to throw to first on a come backer. Little things matter. Player obviously screwed up but the greatest coaches leave no room for error

No cap. No one is a bigger critic of pro athletes than the middle aged men who are out of breath walking to the refrigerator for another beer. I feel for that young man.

But an accurate throw and he is out

He wouldn’t have been able to come back

Manager met him at the dugout steps and put his arm around him and talked to him. Nobody wants another Donnie Moore although in fairness Moore was pretty much psychotic before his deal.

I don’t understand how he threw it when Realmuto is so adamantly pointing at first
