I was interested in him, but 3/60 is too steep.

Yeah, that’s Charlie Morton money. Way too much for a player like Abreu.

Yankees apparently made an 8 year 300 million offer to Judgez isn't that what they offered last year?

My comment has less to do with what Abreu deserves and more to do with everything else a roster needs. Makes no sense for Boston to spend $20m a year on a 37 year old 1B/DH with all of the holes that we need to fill. 12-14m might've made sense for us, but anything above that is too steep imo. Houston's roster is in better shape which is why Abreu at that cost makes more sense for them.

And a one year deal for a SP at $20m with a team option isn't really the same as a three year deal for a 1B/DH in my eyes.

No. I believe the Yankees offered 7-8 years for $215M.

Yeah it was something like this. He'll get a $100 million+ raise.

Yes

Yanks upped their ante and will sign Judge

It should sadden their knowledgeable fans, while the rest of baseball can point and laugh

70+ M a year tied up in 2 players they already had that resulted in no wins in the ALCS. It’s a great deal for Judge

I don’t envy the position that Cashman is in. The deal he had to do. Now it’s push all your chips in one way or another. The farm either gets on the field and produces or gets sold altogether

Yes

We let Cole walk for 36, Correa 35

Judge is gonna be a count hair from 40

Yanks will have 2 guys at 76 per year that have a proven bad playoff record

And 3 years at half the money for a guy that has almost Ripken like games played per season

Yankees are tied into 9 for Cole and 8 for Judge

Those deals are doomed. Stanton-like injury prone deals. I mean he’s only 6’ 8” running around playing the OF with obvious hormonal anomalies. LOL

And I like Judge, but his ALCS production in several appearances is absent. He Ks way too much

Kudos to him

He can have 60 a year

He needs to put up better numbers than Trout and he needs to stay healthy

Or he could be Rendon

Mega-deals never work out. Just too much to overcome even if they perform well. I am proud that the Astros have been able to avoid them

I guess since he won 1 WS in a Game 7, maybe it did. Still not great odds

Almost worked with Harper and Philly, even when he missed plenty time and is gonna miss more

So you go all season pulling for Judge and Harper?

I’m a team guy

I laugh at Trout. Feel sorry for him.

Never mind. You also brought up what a dog Stanton has been too.
