I would think one more of Flaherty or Hudson is in that deal

If Alcantara is the headliner, I think that would point to Hudson. Flaherty would be the headliner if he were in the deal.

If those 3 OFs aren't in the deal, then Sierra, Bader, Arozarena, or Adolis Garcia is in the deal.

I have a strange feeling ozuna is fools gold. He was sent to the minors a year ago then had a amazing year. Was it because he got better or was it because he was hitting in a lineup with Stanton yelich and realmunto (sp)

I think he’s good but not as good as this past year

I think everyone in baseball doesn't expect Ozuna to be almost a 5 war player like he was last year. I think most believe him to be around a 3ish war per year. His defense has regressed a lot the last few years. I can't see Yelich wanting to spend the next 5 years playing in front of hundreds of fans at home. Marlins will probably have to take the best deal they can get for Yelich.

He's good, but not as good as he was this year. Yellich is better though

Ozuna won a Gold Glove last year. His OBP, SLG, OPS, and average has risen 3 years in a row. Where did you read he was sent to the minors? He played in 159 games with Marlins last year, and 148 the year before that.

Ozuna's approach scares me so much. He is good but man that dude swings at everything.

If he drives in 120 runs again I don’t care what his approach is. Guerrero used to swing at everything, and was still a force to be reckoned with.

He was only 24 that year. Looks like he’s progressed nicely since then to me.

His highest OBP before last year was .321 and Marlins moved Ozuna out of CF for a reason. He's gotten a lot bigger and has lost a step. Still a good player and I think Cardinals made a good trade for him. He isn't exactly someone I would want to be my best hitter.

I find it funny that it's ok for Ozuna to get sent down at this age, but still be considered a good player.

Yet when Odor did it at 21 and had this horrible season after a great one he's a shite player with no future

he isnt the defensive player that he was when he was first called up and last year was the first year that he got on base at an above average level, granted it was elite last year, and he over performed his xwOBA by a decent amount

hes a good player, i would love for the dodgers to have him, but i dont think hes the 5 win player that he was this past year

Who said that about Odor? Wasn’t Scharber sent down last year when he was hitting .200, but everyone is still sky high on him? And he sucks more in the field than Ozuna?

His job won’t be to get on base. His job is to drive in runs. Which he should do since he will have high OBP guys hitting in front of him. If he saves another 11 runs defensively in LF I am perfectly fine with that. Pham was outstanding in CF last year, and Bader or Sierra can play there too if Grichuk is moved.

Odor hasn’t really had what I would call a great year yet. And he legit might have been the worst everyday player in Major League Baseball in his fourth season. He’s still young but he needs to drastically alter his approach at the plate which is hard to do

Perhaps. Cardinals have other guys to play CF. Martinez was so awful at 25 the Astros cut bait with him. Now he’s hammered over 45 home runs in each of the last 2 years at 29 and 30.

Martinez and Justin Turner are freak career paths. Ozuna is a good player and is probably more like the year he had in 2016 or 2014 which is still great to have in your lineup
