Me either, but was one of the Betts "fit" trades

If the Sox actually want to trade Mookie, they're gonna have to adjust expectations. What's a realistic return for a $28 million 1 year rental? Theres not many teams that can offer the prospect capital that he's worth AND eat his full salary for 2020.

The Braves are the obvious fit, but without an extension to go along with a trade, Pache, Waters, and Anderson will not be touched. It would be a Kyle Wright headliner with someone like William Contreras.

Without an extension would be hard for anyone. Bowden wrote an article today trying to find a fit. Dont think a single offer had a legitimate major league piece. No reason to make that kind of trade if you're Boston

If the Red Sox want a major league piece, they can have a 29 year old, multiple gold glover, who is only signed for 15 million over the next two years with a 9 million option.

friedman is coming out saying we are going to be aggressive this winter. we are being tied to more players than normal. dodgers are making a move this winter. whether its rendon or cole, or lindor or mookie

Braves sign Will Smith to 3/39 contract. 4th year club option. Was expected he would take QO for most I'd seen. A little surprising but nice addition for Braves. Still plenty of $ to play with.

It's about time we had a legit closer.

Surprised Smith turned down QO. Glad we at least get a pick since he was gonna bolt anyway, I guess.

pick really doesnt matter to atlanta as they are probably expecting to get one from donaldson

[Rosenthal] Will Smith’s agent, Jeff Berry of CAA, effectively used the qualifying offer as leverage, telling interested teams he wanted a deal by today’s deadline or Smith would accept the one-year, $17.8M offer from #SFGiants. In the end, the #Braves bit.

Seems collud-y but I’ll take it.

And the top free agent Reliever is off the board. Should start seeing some other relievers signing soon as now there are set numbers for teams/agents to work from.

At first, I thought this news was everybody trolling Joe Giorardi for continuously calling Will Harris 'Will Smith'

I'm banging the drum for Michael Pienda to the Astros. Our kind of guy.
Posted on 11/14/19 at 5:10 pm to Lsuhoohoo
I've been saying Pineda since the season ended
