CHICAGO CUBS

Last World Series Win: 1908
Last Pennant: 1945
Last NLCS: 2015

LOS ANGELES DODGERS

Last World Series Win: 1988
Last Pennant: 1988
Last NLCS: 2013

WASHINGTON NATIONALS

Last World Series Win: Never
Last Pennant: Never
Last NLCS: 1981, as the Montreal Expos

CLEVELAND INDIANS

Last World Series Win: 1948
Last Pennant: 1997
Last ALCS: 2007

TORONTO BLUE JAYS

Last World Series Win: 1993
Last Pennant: 1993
Last ALCS: 2015

As you can see, some of these teams have recent League Championship Series experience, but none of them have even appeared in a World Series in the past 16 years and none of them have won it all since the Blue Jays 23 years ago. It has been 28 years for the Dodgers, 47 years of zero championships for the Expos/Nats franchise, 68 years for the Indians and 108 years for the Cubs.

What would I expect? Second year in a row MLB will have different teams vying for a WS win.

I was just thinking about how a relatively "new" team will win the WS this year. The Cubs' are obviously the best tv draw but I'm curious what the best matchup looks like. Doesn't matter to me, but the casual fan may not be so interested in Nationals-Blue Jays, but I could be wrong.

I know the OP is "technically" right, but DC fans still claim 1924 as our last World Series Championship and last time to the WS in 33.

No offense to SF fans because winning 3 is a great accomplishment no mtter what but them winning 3 lately also shows there are not any great teams, given what they do in the odd years.

Cubs may be one (God I hope not) but injuries, especially to pitchers eff up everybody, people want to leave for more money, etc. so we will see.

Anyone but the Nats. They and their fans have been acting like they were on the verge of the next dynasty for 5 years now. It would be nice to see them continue to fail.

I'm hoping for a Cubs/Indians World Series.

It'll end up being a Cubs vs. Jays in my opinion. Blue Jays just have too much firepower, but the Cubbies will finally win it all

With the Cavs winning it this year and the Indians making a run the city of Cleveland has some hope for the future....but then there's the Browns

Not trying to dog on the cubbies, I just found this stat to be VERY interesting, and surprising.

Wild note from @EliasSports - Wrigley Field has been around since 1916, AT&T Park since 2000. But AT&T has hosted more postseason G (37-33)!

Busch Stadium III opened in 2006, and has hosted 38.

Luckily one team will end their curse/drought this year.

Unless the Cubs bats wake up(which at some point they will) this would be a Jays sweep.
