so it fit pretty fricking well for 3/5 starters

it just didn't fit well with melo, who refused to change at all and was a baby back bitch about everything

So you are admitting that he sucked before?

Amare's having by far his worse year since he was a rookie and he can't play D. He's part of the problem.

he's just getting old and not shooting as much (his FG% is down, for sure)

irrelevant. he's never played D

not in terms of coaching/style

they signed chandler to take care of amare's defensive problems. chandler fits perfectly. protects the rim, rebounds, and doesn't have an ego about scoring. amare shed a bit of his ego, too

it's melo who is being a bitch

He ABSOLUTELY was part of the problem. His system did not fit the personnel, he didn't even bother trying to change that, & they certainly couldn't overcome it on the defensive end.

Exactly, and it's worked.. The problem with these Knicks isn't defense. It's offense. They're ranked 10th in defensive efficiency, but 23rd in offense.

Melo is becoming a coach killer. George Karl hates his guts already.

How is mike Woodson gonna do any better? His teams in ATL always hit a wall and could never get over the hump.

Similar to Melo, I'm not sure you understand what Melo's actual level is. Scoring 30 on 29 shots isn't a very high level.

Carmelo would probably consider that an efficient game.

Last 6 games:
Jeremy Lin - 34-87, 39.1%; 7.33 Asts, 3.83 TOs
Carmelo Anthony - 42-108, 38.9%
J. R. Smith - 13-39, 30.0%

It would be one thing if Lin, Anthony, or Smith were stellar defenders. But all three of them are defensive liabilities, and Lin is the only one who expresses a desire to improve. (It is worth mentioning, though, that Lin's assist to turnover ratio has been decent over these past 6 losses.)

On top of their terrible shooting, poor defense, and inability to spread the ball around to teammates, Anthony and Smith are proven cancers in the locker room. I don't see how anyone can seriously defend Anthony. The guy is a vortex of despondency.
