Brown has been there before

the only reason OSU didn't win was b/c they had no offense

That's ridiculous!!!

The "average" teams, and worst teams are that way because the teams at the top made them so. If the big east had 12 teams, their records would look like they do.

Furthermore.... I looked at it how it would be if the teams were matched up in bowl games. Strongest against their conference's strongest. That's how you do it. Kansas, actually a decent team, wouldn't be 1-7 in conference, if Texas, OU, and Nebraska weren't making them so. They came into the big 12 4-0.

I would go out on a limb and say KU wouldn't be 1-7 if they played in the big east. Hell, even Baylor barely lost to Uconn, and they are probably the worst team.

Big deal, same reason LSU got into the championship game in 2007 and same reason Auburn didn't in 2005

KU blows

That doesn't make it the best way to determine conference strength.

I did Strongest against strongest and weakest against weakest.

Louisville wouldn't be 1-7 in conference if they other teams weren't making them lose games. That doesn't explain why the Big XII gets to pretend KU doesn't exist while the Big East has to play Syracuse

Meh.

Would you like to actually give me your picks from the line up either mine(Better system), yours, or both.

The BCS wants the champ to come from either the SEC, PAC10, BigTEN, or BigXII. The ACC and BigEAST are ugly step sisters...BCS doesn't want to take them to the dance. Mid-majors will never play for the championship. It's sad, but reality.

cincy is similar (yet better) than TAMU

no they are not. Jerrod Johnson can run. I mean really run. He has 450 yards rushing. Tony Pike has 18 yards rushing. Big difference! Texas A&M's offense is actually ranked higher than Cincy's too. Texas struggled in one game defensively the entire season, and you pull that one game instead of the other 12 where they stifled their opponents?

quote:

NU is not that good. they had 1 out of their arse game that everyone saw and people are jacking off to this is a team that lost to VT

First, NU is a 9 win team. V-tech had to throw an 80 yard bomb with less than a minute to play in oder to win that game. NU had that game in the bag, and faltered at the end.

quote:

Pitt's D>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>UGA's D Stull>>>>>>>>>>>The Ginger Ninja

Georgia is ranked 30th, and Pitt is ranked 26th in defense.....oops!

quote:

NU would probably have a better chance of winning games if they punted on 1st downs.

NU is exaclty the same team as Pitt, yet they are miles better defensively. Pitt averages 399 on offense in the big east. NU averages 317 after playing the likes of Vtech, OU, and Texas' defense. I say it's a wash.

quote:

they barely beat a mediocre OSU team last year the only reason OSU didn't win was b/c they had no offense

No.... OSU had no offense THIS year. In that game they had Wells, and two starting NFL QBs. They used both QBs, got a couple turnovers, and still were only able to score 17. That was a more talented offense than LSU saw in 2007, and they score 24 in that game. Texas has never lost a BCS game. Brown just likes to play em close to the vest.

quote:

their D is good against the pass their D is good if you are 1-dimensional if you can run the ball, you can do things against NU

Yet their D is ranked in the top 10 in the country. Give them a little credit. If they were only good against one dimension, they wouldn't be ranked so high.

quote:

That doesn't make it the best way to determine conference strength.

Like I said......ridiculous. Every conference has weak and strong teams. It's the middle of the road teams that determine strength. Those are the dangerous teams, that put losses in the good teams' columns. You can't ignore those.

Still, I will humor you. The big12's two strongest teams Texas/OSU are better than the big East's two best teams. The big12 worst two teams, KU/Baylor are probably better than the worst two big east teams Syr/Lou. Then when you loook at the middle teams there is really no comparison.
