The two worst contracts in CFB history were signed that week. Tucker’s deal and then Jimbo’s.
I thought Jimbo signed his extension following the 2020 season, well before Mel's extension, which was signed before the 2021 season ended.

Clearly, Tucker doesn’t see it that way hence why he’s suing the school if that contention was as iron clad as you purport it to be
He is suing the school to get them to pay for his legal defense, because he is being sued by that woman. Says what occurred happened while he acting in his official capacity, so his contract says he is entitled to 'university-provided defense'. The University say that contract was voided when fired with cause.

He also filed a wrongful termination lawsuit last summer

You’re assigning motive to why it happened and that’s fine. I don’t disagree that if MSU went back to the NY6 in 2022 and the contract looked like a smart decision this would’ve never came out. MSU probably would’ve settled with Tracy out of court and kept it under wraps. I think you’re right about that.
BUT. It doesn’t change what actually happened. You can call it extortion, whatever. He flatly violated his contract and gave MSU a clear out by making an egregious and stupid error. It’s no different than Jeremy Pruitt or will wade or any of those other coaches who get fired for cause. If you blatantly break the rules of your contract don’t be shocked and cry foul when it comes back to bite you in the arse.

I thought they announced it in August and then he signed it that week before thanksgiving but you might be right.

It is extortion, they were in a consensual relationship, Michigan State starts sucking at football after they give Tucker this massive extension and then she comes out of the blue to allege sexual harassment right in the nick of time and the university and journalistic outlets engage in very suspect unethical behavior to get rid of Tucker’s arse without paying and ruin his reputation. Sexual harassment’s criminal btw. She’s suing him too ie extortion. They fricked up, they engaged in schemes to fire him without paying, they should have to pay him! Karma will get them, I wasn’t pro-anybody in this, now I’m completely pro-Tucker because it’s people out there who will destroy and stab people in the back for one thing: money.
Hope you enjoy this while it lasts.
