I think the media lost favor with Durant after the way he left OKC. Jumping on the juggernaut train with the warriors and leaving Oklahoma in the dead of night was wimpy. He's the ultimate frontrunner, stacking rosters to win rings.
Durant has always come off as thin-skinned and most any type of criticism is met with a huge knee-jerk. The NBA hacks see it, know it about Durant and they are gonna eat that kind of stuff up with a spoon. Frankly, some people are better at social media than others, Durant should close his account for his own well-being.

I don’t know the whole story and I’m not going to go investigate to find out. Are people calling rapaport a bitch for making them public? I guess I can see that. I don’t know the back story on who rapaport is/what he’s done, and I see those texts and my main thought is, why are people defending/borderline celebrating KD here. It’s not even good trash talk, just gay slurs.
I did laugh at the line where KD told him to get some sun though.

If you google Durant there’s like 2 cut and paste stories. Nothing from ESPN, Deadspin, defector, the Ringer, etc.
Compare that with Meyers and the vitriol he faced for far less. I’m so sick of this double standard, combined with the lecturing about “white privilege” when the exact opposite is true.
