Hey DoucheHorton, any comment?

Here's further proof... Johns Hopkins study on MMA

quote:

Mixed Martial Arts competitions have changed dramatically since the first Ultimate Fighting Championship in 1993. The overall injury rate in MMA competitions is now similar to other combat sports, including boxing. Knockout rates are lower in MMA competitions than in boxing. This suggests a reduced risk of TBI in MMA competitions when compared to other events involving striking.

Just about any ya hoo walking around with a gym bag these days is an MMA fighter, standing up in the ring for 12 rounds and taking blows to the head is something completely different then the man humping that is MMA. In my opinion.

wasn't the criticism of MMA in the OP based on how dangerous it is? Do people not see the increased risk from boxing comes from taking shots to the head for 12 rounds at a time?

More than welcome at my gym anytime

I'll give you 5:1 odds you can't last 1 round with me in the cage. Minimum bet $100
