When are people going to take driving a boat seriously?

Just a quick lookup, and 610 people died in 2014. 23% of those had drivers that had safety instructions, and only 12% with drivers who had a certified safety education certificate.

Driving a boat is dangerous under normal circumstances. And we make it more dangerous by assuming anyone can drive a boat, and the widespread drinking while driving.

Man brought back memories of the Indians players who died in a boating accident. Man I remember ESPN focusing on that and how tragic it was.

There were 4-5 Cleveland pitchers involved. Huge story at the time.

Im actually at my vacation home this morning in miami and it was right in front of my building, you couldnt walk the pier to it bc they closed it but i got this pic at the beach, so sad.

just from where it is located its right at the entrance to government cut which is where all boats come in and out, i think they were coming back in and misjudged it and hit the rocks

sorry iphone 6s camera sucks wish i couldve gotten closer

Damn this makes me sad. He seemed to really love the game and always played with so much energy. Always loved to see him cheering so hard for his teammates in the dugout even when he wasn't pitching. I was looking forward to watching him be great for many years. The way he baffled guys with that breaking pitch was awesomr

Noooooooo one of my favorite pitchers man frick

RIP Jose.

His pregnant wife, man, just brutal. Can't even imagine.

Him and Cardinals SS Aledmys Diaz grew up together across the street in Cuba and were very close.

oscar taveras but he wasnt a proven superstar like jose. Jose is gonna win the cy young this year, we've never lost a cy young winner in the year he wins it. I cant remember the last time a star died in season like this, maybe darryl kile but jose is a way bigger star.

Horrible day for baseball.

A truly great person and amazing pitches.

I'm so sick with this.

Very sad to hear, have they released any more information of what happened? Ran the boat up on some jetties?
