the "more to do" argument is lame. It's just a city that doesn't give a shite about sports for the most part.

It's 75 degrees and sunny here today... going to the gym, washing my car, and watching a couple football games at home on the patio with a few beers in hand sounded better than driving 40 minutes to Glendale to see the shitty Cardinals play INSIDE.
If we had a beach, I would've considered going there too

it does factor in greatly though. for example, instead of watching any 1:00 games today, we were all @ the park playing soccer, frisbee, basketball, and volleyball for most of the day and then went on the lake for a little while. although i don't live in miami, the weather where i'm at is comparable, while most of the country can't do any of this as they are currently freezing their arses off.

i'd agree with this somewhat though

I think if people truly gave a shite about a team they could skip out on frisbee in the park for 8 sundays a year. For baseball and basketball I'll buy into the more to do argument, not so much for football.

Exactly. I have friends with Cardinals season tickets so I can go whenever I want but if I can get out and play a round of golf on a Sunday afternoon, I am all over that.
And keep in mind, this is the time of the year where we can be outside for prolonged periods of time here in AZ.

There's a lot of shite to do in New York and Chicago, yet those fans show up to support their teams...

Wow, you got me there!!

maybe for football instead of frisbee, lol. but miami has hot cuban, dominican, puerto rican, colombian, peruvian, and costa rican bitches everywhere. i'd gladly give up shitty dolphins football (especially against the shitty toilet browns) to hang out at the beach and chase hot tail around all day. and today was a beautiful day.....it's supposed to be cold for the rest of the week. high of 65 tomorrow i think

You're just not much of Dolphins fan, I get it. I wouldn't skip a Browns game to play frisbee. If that's your thing though I get it.

Correct, I absolutely despise the dolphins (and all miami teams). I'm a bucs fan in the NFL, and pull for the jags against anybody except the bucs.
