Metta World Peace mocks James Harden for late foul on LeBron James

James Harden blew it during Game 3 of the 2012 NBA Finals and an old nemesis was right there to let him know about it.
With 16 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter and Harden's Oklahoma City Thunder trailing the Miami Heat 88-85, Harden was whistled for a foul that sent LeBron James to the free throw line to make it a two-possession game. The foul came after much of the shot clock wound down and left Oklahoma City trailing by four points after James converted the second of two free throws.
The Thunder's strategy was clearly to let the possession run out and play defense straight up. The alternate strategy would have been to foul early. The worst case scenario -- play defense straight up for most of the possession, then commit a foul after the time ran off -- is what wound up happening.
Harden was dinged as he pressured James' dribble near mid-court. James appeared to initiate the contact and Harden fell to the ground, but the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year was still hit with the foul call.
Shortly thereafter, Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Pace -- formerly known as Ron Artest -- provided this analysis on his Twitter account: "No brain All beard." The message was sent to his more than 400,000 followers.

Harden flops entirely too much

That was one of the worst fouls I've ever seen...if I'm OKC im strongly considering the Cav's deal

And who is responsible for that? The NBA itself. Crack down on flopping should be a #1 priority next season.

I actually thought Lebron pushed off but Harden has to know the refs are not going to make that call right there.

Westbrook's reaction after the foul call was funny. It was "WTF are you doing?!?!" body language at its finest.

i have no horse in this race, but that was a bullshite call.. lebron basically jumped backwards into him, while harden wasn't moving and they called the foul... i don't care who wins the finals, i was just watching the game and drinking a beer with some friends, and i was pissed.. the referees almost make these games unwatchable..

Sorry, but it was the right call. And even if it should have been a no call, Harden has to know he can't put himself in a questionable situation at half court under those circumstances. Just plain stupid.

I lose brain cells every time I read one of your NBA posts. Time and time again, you prove you know very little about basketball.

let me guess you dont watch basketball often?
youre not going to get a charge call at mid court, in the NBA finals, with 20 seconds left; which is why harden was stupid to even attempt it...

against Lebron James when your name is James Harden

yea i do, and i'm pretty sure that foul shouldn't have been called.. if the tables were turned and OKC had the ball IN miami, that's a no call..
IMO that foul's just as stupid as the fouls that are called when a player gets out of control and gets hacked, just to throw the ball up and get a shooting foul..

Exactly. The Thunder's players faces told the whole story.
