Same thing he did with VY a few years ago. Thats his modus operandi

If delivery, stance, form, release and arm strength aren't all NFL ideal - he likes to shite on everyone's parade. And he has a willing audience in all these worshipers of college stars who are frankly just college stars. He thinks everyone forgets that college is a different game altogether...Merrill: "this ain't the SEC, this is the NFL...he can't get away with that sloppy play..."

Please explain what happened.

Marilyn bashed him on ESPN and Twitter. Tebow responded "Merril 'preciate it".

Then Marilyn went on a tirade on twitter defending himself. It was funny as shite.

Look up Hoge on twitter to see the comments.

VY is just too dumb and immature to be a NFL QB. Same with Russell. Tebow just don't have the skills. Kinda different. My $0.02 for what it's worth

Oh I completely agree with you. I just think it's dumb that everyone's bashing Tim Tebow for being drafted in the first round, which was completely out of his control, and trying to become a better quarterback. At least he hasn't up and quit like Eric Crouch or Jason White when things have gotten difficult.

Nah, people (rightfully) have bashed Tebow for sounding like a douche who has entitlement issues at times.

But really, dude was drafted too high as a prospect, and the team needs to let him develop as a prospect.

The coaches know that, and they're bringing him along slowly.

The irony is that the Tebow Fanboys want him to start NOW, which would likely HINDER his development.

Why because he said some things that were negative about Tebow???

That dude is as good as it gets with film study and relaying to other people what he sees.

I agree but didn't he get shot down to do dog shows on espn at one time. I may have gotten him mixed up with another espn talking head but I swear I saw him there.

Merrill Hoge is another idiot ex-player who is too wrapped up in looking important and smug and forgets to know what he's talking about. I don't he's anywhere near Sean Salisbury, but he's getting there.

They may end up doing that. I think its doubtful but you never know.

The consensus in speaking with a handful of team personnel executives when it comes to one Tim Tebow is this: A trade could happen, but it's becoming increasingly likely the Broncos will keep or cut Tebow because the trade interest is dwindling rapidly.

Tebow started his first NFL game on December 19, 2010, which was a 39-23 road loss to the Oakland Raiders.[100] Tebow completed eight of 16 passes for 138 yards, including a 33-yard touchdown pass. He also rushed for 78 yards, 40 of which came on a touchdown run in the first quarter of the game. It was the longest touchdown run for a quarterback in Broncos history and the longest touchdown run in NFL history for a quarterback in his first start. Tebow became just the third quarterback in NFL history to throw for a touchdown of 30 or more yards and run for a touchdown of 40 or more yards in the same game.[101] He finished the game with a 100.5 passer rating, the highest ever in team history for a professional debut.

Tebow's first career victory came in his second start on December 26, 2010. The Broncos defeated the Houston Texans, 24-23, in Denver. Tebow helped rally the Broncos from a 17-0 deficit at halftime, as he finished the game with 308 passing yards and one touchdown pass. He also added a fourth quarter rushing touchdown, which capped the comeback.[102] Tebow received his second Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week honor following his performance.

Does someone want to explain to me how this can't be considered anything but a good start to a NFL career? He started the last three games last year, Tebow played well in all three games, and the Broncos beat the Texans.

If he was so terrible, as I keep hearing from the talking heads, then how did he pass for 300+ yards? How did he lead his team to a comeback victory? I guess the only players that look good to the talking heads are the Jeff George, Ryan Leaf, and Jamarcus Russell types.

Isn't that the truth. He can throw some pretty passes but who knows where they are going to land.

If you have 3 qb's on your roster, and your 3rd stringer is making more than the 1st and 2nd string qb's....do you keep him around just to hold a clipboard and wear a hat to sell merchandise?

Or do you cut or trade him to get rid of wasted salary?

It's like everyone is piling on Tebow now all of a sudden just to say "we told you he would suck".

How did the guy go from performing admirably in the last three games last season and being nearly handed the starter job to being cut in a matter of weeks. Is he performing epically bad in practices or something?

I have my doubts as to whether he can succeed or not, but why is he being dismissed cause he doesn't fit the mold of a traditional QB? Plenty of other guys that suck have gotten more of a chance than Tebow.

At least give him a chance. If he sucks, he sucks. You ain't doing shite with Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn at quarterback anyway.

anyone who watched him very closely will see that his accuracy was rarely a problem. dont look at stats (because our receivers dropped way more than the average)...interceptions and "mental mistakes" occurred...but when he was throwing to a receiver the ball was usually on the money

New coach, new system. Orton and Quinn are the type of QB's that the coach likes - I seriously doubt he's in the mood for a project considering how he's likely on a 3 year plan. Win in 3 years or you're out.

If he's fallen from 1st to 3rd string and his teammates are pretty firmly behind another guy he must not be doing good.

Completing right at 50% of your passes, having your passing rating go down in each successive game, while facing some really shitty defenses is one reason.

Tebow is no where near accurate.

He has to wind up/be in ideal situations for him to be accurate-- those hardly ever happen.

Anyone see that over the shoulder, 30 yard fade TD Sanchez threw to Plax yesterday? Tebow takes a sack there because of his delivery or under throws the receiver. His mobility is in turns of up the field running isnt as much as a strength now because he used to impose fear in DBs in the open field.

180lb CBs in the NFL will light his arse up. Hes gone back to his windup throw and ive watched some tape on him..his receivers have to work TOO hard to get his balls. These guys are having to jump, reach, bend, and extend for balls they shouldnt have to..and these put the team at risk for TOS and the players at risk for free kill shots to the chest.
