I guess sorry they took your soul and make you complain. They did what was asked of them and won every game in 2017. It’s sad that grown men in 2020 still whine about their success.

I mean the CFP is a rigged system but for one year they did what nobody else could do in FBS, they went unbeaten.

The narrative before the Peach Bowl was Auburn will kill them it switched to Auburn didn’t care. Funny how that always happens when a P5 team loses a game to a G5 team.

We’re not complaining. We are laughing at how stupid UCF and their fans sound.

Competition matters and you played no one.

You? As I said it’s sad how P5 fans complain. They take it personally. It’s sad a group of adults can’t move on from 3 seasons ago

You do understand a champion is not the same as best team?

I think we have different definitions for success. UCF couldn’t beat an LSU team playing WR’s as DB’s.

Didn't UCF have to play a freshman QB because their starter was knocked out for the season a few weeks prior?

How is it not a success that an FBS team wins 25 straight games, and finally loses to the 11th ranked team in the country that has more that double its athletic budget?

It's amazing the contempt SEC fans have for UCF, still living in their heads.

You understand that just because you declare yourself a champion, that doesn’t make you one?

Except an official organization and then the NCAA declared them Champion

Facts seem hard to understand for some when discussing UCF 2017 football.

It’s funny how defensive you get when anyone questions the level of competition. Going 25-0 playing in the American Conference is about as impressive as ULL never scoring a touchdown against LSU.

What are you talking about? UCF is going to do nothing to me. I don’t live in Florida and I’m not sure how an inanimate thing can do animate things.

It hasn’t been a fun 12 hours for me, but this is really funny to me for some reason.

Your inability to understand how college football works isn’t my problem. If you want to go around declaring UCF the champion and make a fool of yourself in the process, be my guest.

Apparently I understand more than you do. It’s a shame you don’t understand it.

If you don’t believe the CFP is rigged and the playoffs are nothing more than an invitational that are void of its own stated rules. You need to learn things before trying to wade into this conversation. Also move on from things that happened 3 years ago

Go research the NCAA record book and tell me who were the recognized National Champions from the 2017 season. Facts are fun to learn.

If you need help I can provide multiple citations. You know facts, not opinions.

Multiple P5’s go undefeated every year?

I mean, they didn’t beat anyone but Auburn, but strutted around like they played through the whole SEC West and CFP.

I get the point, but it was kinda ridiculous and overboard.

You want to give UCF credit for beating the teams they played, but not give any credit to the teams that beat the teams they played that lead them to the CFP.

Got it

The problem with idiots like you is you think playing @SMU is the same as playing @AU.

You sure do assume a bunch of incorrect things, but it’s typical of people who whine. Show me where I said that? Show me where I claimed going to Ford was harder than going to Jordan-Harr. This year would be the exception though.

As I said it’s sad you can’t move on from a season 3 years ago.

That same organization also named Alabama NC in 2016 even though they lost to Clemson, and Notre Dame NC in 2012.

The NCAA doesn’t even list them on their site. Only in that record book which looks at all the polls.

The NCAA does not declare a National Champion in FBS. At best they have a list of different organizations declared champions, but they do not officially recognize any FBS National Champion.

I'm not going to pretend like UCF was the best FBS team in 2017 - they weren't. But they also didn't go 25-0 in conference at any point ever, nowhere near it, and to treat UCF to the AAC like Boise was to the WAC is disingenuous and dishonest as hell.

The American has been far closer to the P5 than it has the rest of the G5 since 2015 or 2016, and for the past three years, has been better than each season's least-best P5 conference.
