Eagles have 5 of the first 87 picks. That's pretty damn crazy.

that's patriots territory most years (this year included). Looks like the Eagles have made some good thing happen this offseason.

He isn't. It was just the one guy that thought that and he is excited he was jw.

They have some holes to fill, so it should suit them well.

Just read the Eagles got Bobby April to coach special teams. Nice pickup for that unit

oh i was just checking their msg boards and saw a few were very skeptical.. thinking the redskins ultimately want bradford..

i just think they should be pumped about mcnabb.. and i don't really see their fans getting crazy excited.

interesting stuff. My guess is like you said they were all excited for the rookie,Bradford, and ended up with Mcnabb who played for a rival team for years.

Very nice. They were dreadful there last year.

One other note, I could see them making a play for a CB too. They have some serviceable guys there, but none as good as a Joe Haden etc.

that's an excellent point especially with the trade of CB Sheldon Brown last week. That leaves them with 2 former patriots. (Asante Samuel= really good and Ellis Hobbs= recovering from injury and is better at NB)

yeah, my thoughts exactly.

Hobbs can be a no. 2 corner, but he'd probably be among the league's worst.

at nb, he's among the league's best.

Haden may still be there around 10 considering all the teams that need OL help.

I don't really see any team being a threat in the top 10 they all have bigger needs.

Alright, based off NFL Draft Value charts, the Eagles currently have:

Pick 24, 740 points
Pick 37, 530 points
Pick 55, 350 points
Pick 70, 240 points
Pick 87, 155 points
Pick 105, 84 points
Pick 121, 52 points

Pick 1 overall is worth: 3,000
Pick 2 overall is worth: 2,600
Pick 3 overall is worth: 2,200
Pick 4 overall is worth: 1,800
Pick 5-10 all worth decreasing amounts of 100 from prior pick.

So, with their First 2 picks, the highest the Eagles could theoretically get (in an even steven deal) would be 11 (slightly in the opponents favor) or 10 (slightly in their favor).

If they tacked on their other 2nd rounder (crazy, imo), they could jump to 6 or 7.

If they tacked on their 1st 3rd pick, they could get up to 8.

They should definitely be the most interesting team on draft day.

Schefter says the Raiders thought they had him but Mcnabb didnt want to go there so the Eagles decided theyd rather trade him in-division than to somewhere he didnt want to be

Oh yeah. He tested out much better at his Pro day.

But I love him. He's a battler. And he's great in run support and blitzing, something the Eagles love to do with their corners typically.

Eagles have drafted a lot of UF guys too.

I'm curious to see what they'll do. I'm not sure they'll make a play to get that high, but I think they'll definitely jump. Eagles have a history of jumping up for guys that tumble too (Shawn Andrews, Jeremy Maclin, Broderick Bunkley).

Where there is smoke, there is usually fire. There are rumblings of the Skins trading with the Rams. Personally I hope it doesn't go through. McNabb makes the Skins competitive for the next few years and gives them time to draft a qb. Just build, build, build the oline in this draft.

I'm guessing the Skins' fans are skeptical because everybody they get turn into dogcrap once they hit DC.

Aside from not wanting to pay his roster bonus and the Eagles being afraid they wouldn't get anything if they didn't trade McNabb now, I think that the Eagles liked the idea of using Vick more in their offense. Even though McNabb was all for the Eagles going after Vick, every time they would send Vick in, McNabb would get all pissed off and pout. There were certain circumstances that Vick could probably have helped the Eagles offense with some change-up plays, especially in the red zone.
