Or she never thought anyone who ever give a shite about it. She was asked both times about how they got together…..You realize that correct? This isn’t out of the blue. It’s a story she has told countless times. Besides the podcast from 2022, there are MULTIPLE magazine articles with this exact story from through the years
It’s clearly not something she was using to go viral as it never had viral nature until now that men have gone fricking weird
Or we can use your insane logic that eventhjugh the story had never got any traction, Kelly Stafford is in her basement plotting “if I keep telling this exact same story over and over again eventually it will make me popular!!!!”

It was obviously told in a lame effort to have a light hearted "I might be the homemaker but this was all orchestrated by me the boss-mom" thing. Her revealing she manipulated a college boyfriend and made him jealous seems like the most mundane disclosure imaginable and bad romantic comedy fodder, not something that will get 30-50 year old dudes on their moral high horse.
But I've already posted about this like 10 times which is very outsized vs. my actual interest in defending the Staffords.

“It’s working” comment tells you everything you need to know about her mindset.
To me, if she would've told it from the perspective of "Oh my lord, I was such a child, it was 100% not a mature way to handle it and I absolutely do NOT recommend anyone to try it this way but here's what happened" that would be one thing. It didn't come across that way though. It came across as someone telling an old war story that they were proud of.
