Fire sale and reboot, with much better QB prospects in next years draft
Exactly. This year's QB class is not good.

What a return. Good job, Terry

absolutely, that division is absolute garbage.
The trouble is the AFC is absolutely filthy with QBs.

Thank you, Matt. Now go get a ring w/Indy.
And Atlanta fans, most wanted him gone and now you're gonna miss him now that he's gone. That's all I'm gonna say.

Frank Reich thought he was getting Andrew Luck in the prime of his career. Instead he’s had to scramble fo find a competent starter every offseason.
Given they constantly have the most cap space in the league and have built a young roster talented on defense with a solid Oline and running game, I’m not sure why they continue to pour resources into ensuring they stay average at the position instead of just making a larger investment to actually take a swing at getting elite QB play
I’m sure some Indy beat writer is writing the article as I type, but I’d love to see the collection of draft capital and money they’ve spent at that position in that time frame

Most were saying that because of how much we were paying him.

Who has been available for them to get?
They could’ve traded up for Mac or Fields last year is probably the only clear route to a franchise guy they’ve had post Luck.

Pro players don't tank on purpose. The schedule and lack of talent on the roster will take care of that. Tanking is a loser's mentality.
And I'm not sold on Bryce being a good pro.

Eh, that was part of it. But a certain segment thought he sucked and didn't like him b/c he wasn't a certain color.

The Colts appear to be an elephant graveyard for old QBs these days.
Rivers, Wentz, Ryan…

Also, how do you only get a 3rd rd.pick and have to absorb a $40MIL cap hit?
Blank is an idiot. HE NEEDS TO SELL THE TEAM! He has no clue and it's been that way for 5 years or so.

Blank's ineptitude is about to go national, and I love it! It needs to be made a national issue so that Blank is forced to sell the team.
ARTHUR NEEDS TO GO!ARTHUR NEEDS TO GO! ARTHUR NEEDS TO GO!
Downvote away, but it's the truth

Well what does it say if we only got a 3rd round pick out of a franchise QB?
Our front office has no clue. He’s worth way more than that.

I mean with all the QB movement we’ve had in the last 2-3 seasons, it’s hard for me to believe they couldn’t have made a move if they wanted to bad enough
Also part of the reason they haven’t had the opportunity to draft or trade high picks for a veteran, is because of this overall strategy to aim for the middle at QB. More resources being tied to a middling option that effects the roster the most, which does raise the overall floor of the team (thus lower in draft order) but doesn’t really raise its ceiling, which makes the overall price to get one of those QBs much higher (via trading up or trading for a vet)
Part of that is also tied to them basically checking out of the first round of the draft the last few seasons. They traded their first for 2 second rounders in 2018, then traded their first for Debucker Forrester, and also don’t have a first round pick in upcoming draft due to the Wentz trade. Hard to get assets are even harder to get when you don’t have assets to give up
I’m simply surprised they haven’t gone for a major splash, especially given all the splash options that have come up in the last couple years

Coaches can and do. I'd rather tank for a year a lock up a franchise QB versus being the Browns for the last 20 years.

I like Stroud more in terms of pro potential then Bryce. Bryce is just really small and doesn’t have much of a frame to really add that much more weight, big time boom or bust. I think Stroud has the higher floor, Young probably has a higher ceiling
