He honestly wasn't that bad in the NFL. IDK if he would have ever won a ring but you can't really call a guy a failure after 2 years and 2 games under .500. Especially with a crap Dolphins squad. They were 14-18 the 2 years before he got there and 7-25 the two years after he left. 15-17 isn't horrible.

Jimbo has done well for himself. Kirby looks to be a rising star. Muschamp had a bad stint in Florida but has SC trending in the right direction. McElwain did well at CSU and went 16-8 in the SEC at Florida. Not godly, but not bad for a rebuild. Dooley did alright at Tech and set them up for the future but outside of that has been a failure. Dantonio (if you count him) has done well.
