Was thinking the exact same thing last night. I'm convinced that these head offices realize that even halfway mediocre coaches that are able to put butts in the stand still makes those teams extremely profitable. So changing the dynamic and cutting loose losing coaches doesn't make much of a difference nor is it a top priority.

They were horrible for over a decade before Marvin Lewis. Mediocrity in Cincy is like being a Super Bowl contender anywhere else.

It's the Mississippi State of the NFL. A .500 record is job security.

If Marvin Lewis was white he'd been fired years ago. FACT

What is his record against Houston? (Incl. playoffs) seems like they fricking own him.

Lewis had many winning seasons just no playoff wins. Kind of like Jim Mora. Probably would have been best for him to take a firing and get rehired elsewhere with a fresh am start before things turned sour in Cincy.

First team not to score a TD in first 2 games since 1939 Eagles. There's a lot of bad teams between 1939-2017 that were able to get in the end zone.

Marv has been a very good coach for a long time for that franchise, people forget how abject that had been for like a decade before he was hired. That said it's time for a change for all parties i'd imagine.

15 years as the Bengals head coach.

And 0 playoff wins. It's absolutely fascinating.

He needs to be fired ASAP if you are a Bengals fan.

How many other coaches get 15 years and no playoff wins?

First time coaches have like 3 years or they're toast

none, which given that many black coaches have been hired and fired in that same time span suggests that skin color is not the issue here.

i swear some of you are as bad with this shite (in the other direction) as the SJWs you despise so much. Y'all actually have a lot in common.
