That interview on Monday Night Countdown just now was tough to watch. Alzheimer's sucks a big one.

The worst day of my life was the day I realized that I was having a face-to-face conversation with my father and he had absolutely no idea who I was.

That's awful. I remember when my grandmother kept calling me Brad because she thought it was the early 1980s and I was my cousin, it's a real shitty situation and I'd rather be dead.

God bless you, man. I experienced it for nearly ten years with my grandfather. It was brutal and sad as hell. He was the definition of a man and seeing him struggle like that was heartbreaking.
That interview was so sad but God bless his wife.

Damn had no idea Schotty was dealing with this God awful disease. My grandfather who raised me and my three brothers by himself is in the first stages of this disease. I'm dreading going home for Thanksgiving and him not knowing who I am.

Very sad to watch. My dad died with it and it was always tough when we would go to take him somewhere and he would go looking for mom who had died three years before. The look on his face when we would explain to him that mom was gone was unforgettable. Almost like he was hearing about it for the first time, every time. It's a horrible way to end a productive and successful life.
