Fla has been to 2 and won them both. And even OSU has been to 3 so I would say that based on that USC is 4th best!!!! SORRY BUT TRUE!!!!

In 2003, the AP title was still a recognized national championship, thus the 2003 title was the last split national championship.

it doesn't bother me, some of the hyperbole at the time pissed me off (ie Keith Jackson declaring the 04 Rose Bowl the "people" national championship" or people calling it half a title. I have said 3 times in this thread that USC has been the best program the last 7 years. However, I am taking about what a team plays the season for. That is to get to the NCgame. Usc hasn't been there as many times or been as succesful as the other teams I mentioned!!!
