We all know that kids in backyards all across Acadiana dream of one day playing for the Cajuns and leading them to glory in the GoDaddy Bowl.

Still a bargain for the Cajuns, considering what he's done for ticket sales. Now the Cajuns need to turn those ticket sales and fan interest into real money.
I see the market for him fairly limited to a couple of schools in the SEC, Big 12, and perhaps an American school willing to pay $1.5-$2 mill for a coach - SMU?

Mississippi St is the one I hear tossed out the most (and he did work under Dan Mullen). I can't really see any others, though.

I like Hudspeth, but I don't see Florida going after him, if Muschamp were to get canned this year.

Don't all schools in these conferences by at least $1.5 million?

Yeah, definitely waiting on Mullen to run its course.

Not only on staff there, but many MS ties.

I think most Cajun fans are pulling for Miss St in the Egg Bowl every year. Lol

That's what you want to see from the school, showing they are committed to the programs.

Hudspeth has been a great coach for you at UL-L. By the way Tulane pays its former Saints wide receiver coach now Tulane head coach CJ Johnson over a million dollars a year salary.

i'd like to know what he makes under the table from the businesses down hwy 90. I bet it's unbelievable.

This is probably the key. There's no way a coach with the success he's had would want to stay in the Sun Belt if a major conference came calling. Ego is a big deal to coaches at this level.

The SEC and Big 12 pay at least that, but not the American. I don't think he jumps from ULL to an upper tier SEC or Big 12 job, unless he goes undefeated and beats teams like Ole Miss, Arky and the like that they play.
Cajuns are in a good position with him, I think.
