Tulane posted its 2016 baseball schedule this week

Very competitive with RPI way up. David Pierce bringing this program back to elite status quickly.
Southeastern plays in an approximately 7,000 seat stadium high school size. There clam to fame is that they can bring in great athletes from major schools that are failing academically or major discipline problems such as Baptiste from Tulane that can play immediately. Tulane wins by 3 points.

The Tulane Georgia Tech game is on ESPNews channel 207 on Direct TV at 3pm Central.
Big difference between pledged and collected? I think not! When you have the former owner of Serta Mattress Richard Yulman,Tom Benson and his wife now on the Tulane board,Saints and Pelican owner, and the Glazers that own the Bucs and Manchester United pledge to Tulane, it is in the bank!

I respect LSU's baseball program during the Skip Bertman years when you won so many CWS championships. But times have changed. All conferences across the board are more competitive. Today you can see TCU,Houston,Pepperdine,UL-L,UVA,Vandy etc play LSU head to head in every game. Because of the dollars all teams including SEC teams are putting into college baseball LSU never will be able to duplicate that magical Skip Bertman era. Everyone is playing on a more level playing field.

Respectfully disagree with you. Tulane baseball was the Number One ranked team in the nation for most of the 2005 season/ year and came in to the College World Series as the number one seed. Also we are ranked by US News and World Report as the top 52 academic national university in the nation and the top academic university in Louisiana.

I have utmost respect for your former coach Skip Bertman. What a true gentleman and great coach. I remember the great Super Regional series with LSU at Zephyr Field. After Tulane won he came over and spoke to the Tulane team and told them what to expect in Omaha. What a class act!
We would do a one year in Tiger Stadium and a return in the Superdome since our home stadium is to small for the expected LSU and Tulane fans only when we enter the top 25 teams in the nation in the next 2 to 3 years. We need and want to be competitive before we play LSU.

Tulane formally presented its new head baseball coach and staff yesterday. He is bringing all his assistant coaches to Tulane from Sam Houston State . With three consecutive regional appearances out of the Southland conference, nine years coaching experience working with legendary coach Wayne Graham at Rice and lastly with new scholarship packages from theTulane administration, Tulane will shortly be joining LSU and UL-L in regional, super regional and CWS play similar to the pre 2008 period. Count on it.
How many universities can raise $72 million dollars cash from alumni and friends of the university without taking out loans or bonds for a new football stadium exclusive of land costs. I hope in time with success on the gridiron we can eventually raise it to 50,000 capacity which would be great for a top academic private university. Unless you want to accept us back to the SEC where we were a founding member!
re: Mark Hudspeth signs 6 yr. $6.45 million extension

Hudspeth has been a great coach for you at UL-L. By the way Tulane pays its former Saints wide receiver coach now Tulane head coach CJ Johnson over a million dollars a year salary.
