He wins this game, he basically throws a grenade into the whole GOAT discussion.

Brady/Manning/Montana? Who the hell knows if Manning gets 2 rings.

If this is not his last game, he is an idiot. Even if he loses, he "took down" Brady again. And he can stroll into a studio gig whenever he wants it.

Team accomplishments should have nothing to do with individual GOAT status in the ultimate team sport. Winning a ring this year at his currently depleted state should have no impact on the GOAT discussion. I will never understand that incredibly ridiculous line of thinking.

If you hang big numbers up each week for 10 years it doesn't make you the GOAT. Not on an average team. Or a team that does nothing. Marino was not the GOAT over Montana. 4 championships can't be ignored. Stepping up in big moments has to count. Need deep playoff runs to have big moments. Going off in week 14 to a 7-7 record is not as big as going nuts in a divisional playoff.

The Broncos don't want him back ... neither do the Colts ... and there are no other teams named after horses where he will fit in and feel right
A Charger is a horse. Manning could be an important face for football in Los Angeles, if only briefly.

Until someone passes him in stats by a huge margin or in rings, Brady has to be in he top 3.

Brees will. Brees has ALREADY passed or tied him in most stats and he is two years younger (already blowing him away in yards)

I think, and would assume players that won one would agree, that the hardware supersedes the stats. I hate using this analogy but Marino's records can/will be broken, but Joe Flacco will always have a ring. I love Brees but it pains me to say as a Who Dat, Brees is no Brady.

Is this no order or are you putting Marino behind Mr. INT king and Drew Brees?

Marino passed for more yards in history and broke the 5,000 barrier in the early 80's (the 80's) - in his second year in the league and a rating of 108.9.

Brees wasn't doing any of that with a rating of 76...and not getting anywhere Marino's prolific ability until his 6 year in the league...and in the 2000's mind you....a totally wide-open game compared to the 80's.

Lol no. He's winning this year in Denver like Tebow did. 3 good passes a game and a GOAT defense. Unless he goes for SB MVP it won't make much of a difference. He even got benched for being terrible this year.

Manning has now taken 2 different organizations to the Superbowl bowl twice. 4 different head coaches including Jim Caldwell.

He has been the MVP of the entire NFL about 1 out of 3 years he has been healthy. He redefined the way the position is played. 5 MVPs can't be ignored.

He holds all the substantial records and played the 1st half of his career under the old rules.

Anyone that watched him in his prime understands he was the best to ever do it.

The fact that he was able to muster a 5000+ yard season and throw for 55tds with his depleted skills speaks to the way he mastered the position.

Manning like Marino were incredible from the beginning.

Marino is still the best, instant sensation in the NFL who became a HOF QB.

Marino's first two years in the league are unmatched by anyone...Manning, Elway, Montana...and Brady doesn't even come remotely close...despite his great teams and defenses backing him up who won the first two Super Bowls.

Marino was ready from day 1 and started breaking records like he was a 15 year Vet...back when it took QBs 5 years to get their legs. It took Steve Young years before he transformed and learned how to better be a QB.
