Major Crash at Bahrain GP

The American Haas Team driver Romain Grosjean’ car was embedded in the barrier & instantly burst into flames. In the inferno, he was able to climb out and jump the barrier on his own. A miracle he was conscious after the impact. Have to credit the Halo head-protection system.

The Halo system is cast titanium... that frontal bar of the Halo is what saved his life
I can think of a few times the Halo has potentially saved lives, but this time it was clearly the difference between life and death
Leclerc when Alonso landed on him in 2018 being the second that comes to mind
Last year when a bit of debris from Leclerc's car hit Hamilton's halo instead of his head at speed

He admitted that from the hospital bed...and he was against the HALO when it was implemented and it saved his life. A crash like that 4 years ago, Roman does not walk away or survive.
Plus, it is about to be announced the Roman is going to race Indy Car next year for Foyt Racing.

He did have some injuries/burns that did cause him to go to the hospital, but even so, it’s a miracle that he wasn’t killed or severely injured.

There is video from his in car camera but they didn't show it hit the barrier. He truly is lucky to be alive.
