It’s not all about big markets. NYC is the biggest market and the Knicks have been terrible for years.
Being in a big market helps but the biggest thing is that the Lakers have a well run franchise with better fan support than any other team in the league. It’s a great package combined.
Also helps that the Lakers have been a contender more times than not for over 4 decades

So all a small market team has to do is get lucky enough to draft the second greatest basketball player of all time, be lucky enough that generational talent is from your city so he resigns there down the road when he peaks and then you can win a championship. Totally level playing field
Pelicans had CP3, Anthony Davis and now Zion. If you can’t build a contender around those 3 at least once then that is on the franchise, not the league.
All 3 of those players are once in a generation type talents.

We aren’t talking about the Pelicans.
We are talking about the advantages of being a large market team in the NBA and Lakers fans pretending that doesn’t exist.

Never said it didn’t exist. Just that it takes much more than a big market to win (see: Knicks)

So you agree thats just as stupid as Laker fans like WCA crying like a girl that Doc must be fined for tampering cause he said Kawhi was good?

One was the current head coach of a team. The other has no official capacity in the organization
I have zero issue with Danny Manning trying to get players to play for the Clippers.
Side note: Always enjoyed watching Manning

why do you think I was so adamant that they would win? very easy prediction when you have washed and ad and no super teams out there, do you finally realize why I kept warning everyone about the title?
next yr will be much tougher..lake show need to improve or no chance for them

Well said. They really took advantage of a down year in the league. But, I don't consider it an asterisk because it's not their fault Clip Show and Bucks/Celts were not there in late rounds. Plus, they did it without any home court advantage. It kind of makes up for the KD GSW years. Keep putting yourself in the finals and good things eventually happen.

Will never happen, Cuban will be sure of that.
We’ll land Giannis and win 6 out of the next 8. Luka and Giannis will turn American basketball on its head.
