Magic Johnson + Lebron = worst GM in the NBA (since MJ)

The team they had at the start of the season was young, growing and good enough to make the playoffs. Then Magic/James in their infinite wisdom orchestrate the public announcement and courting of AD with all of the Laker’s key, young studs being thrown at the Pels for Davis. Of course the Pels don’t allow themselves to be strong armed into the trade, an obvious variable the magic/James brain trust didn’t account for. The result is a complete collapse in Laker morale and Lebron looking like a bigger douche than “The Decision”. Walton is probably out. I thought this team might make the playoffs this year and then start to contend once the inevitable Warrior breakup occurs. Now it looks like a dumpster fire with Lebron not making another championship run. Sure he can move on but who wants to play with him, who trusts him?

Davis does. But that will be after next season. Lebron won’t win another title. Heck I can see him not even making it to WCF.

Everything he touches eventually falls to pieces.

Billy King, from the Nets has to be up there. The KG/Pierce deal killed their franchise. Also traded a pick for Gerald Wallace that ended up being Lillard. Plus traded for Joe Johnson and Deron Williams. Whole website and movement dedicated to firing him..

Cleveland is Cleveland, so there's that.

And Miami, not only did they not fall to pieces, they would have actually still been a very solid team if not for the freak Bosh career ending situation.

According to Bill Oram of The Athletic, Johnson "ignored the pleas of the coaching staff that he retain" the two bigs following the signing of LeBron James and instead added JaVale McGee, Michael Beasley and Lance Stephenson.
