I just think they didn't want to go, period. Now it's a all in the news because once again, we have the "You didn't break up with me. I broke up with you." scenario

How exactly are they being overly sensitve and triggered in this situation? If someone (that doesn't know you) calls you an SOB and calls for you to be fired from you r place of employment. I'm sure you would think twice about going to meet them.

I'm not stupid enough to take things like that from a master salesman personally and literally, I'm too woke to the context of everything and how Trump operates I can read through the lines as an intelligent person should

So Trump is the master of nuance and subtlety now?

I think we can shut down this thread. Everything possible to post has now been posted.

How many times in a lifetime does anyone EVER get the opportunity to meet and take pics with the POTUS not to mention one of the most famous Americans of the last 4 decades?

If you are a rich NFL player? Wouldn't be that hard.

Then why not take the high road and meet that President and be cordial and all?
so THEY have to be polite and cordial? Not the literal president of the United states?

Apparently he has the highest recorded IQ score of any President who's ever held the office so you tell me, the more he makes people think he's stupid the easier it is for him to accomplish his objectives AND rally his core base POLITICS

so they are a bunch of babies. No wonder they made this movement about "Not my president" then decline the chance to meet the guy over it. So weak

The Eagles weren't publicly saying anything. Prior to Trump's statement, they weren't saying "not my president" or really anything.

This was just a bunch of players declining without comment. Trump's statement was the first thing that blew this up in public.

If you're going for the tantrum analogy, it doesn't apply to the side you're saying it does.

But this is a gratuitous invite compared to the athlete pulling strings and its American tradition for the last century

We have to put an asterisk by that, though.

James Polk has always claimed to be hungover and with the flu when he took his presidential IQ test.

You believe that along with the fact that he's the healthiest POTUS ever?

I'm just saying that some are acting like these are average Americans getting invited and saying no. Most of them will have more chances down the line if they really want to visit.

I would go if invited regardless of who was in office. Would be a cool experience, but I'm not going to pretend like I have the same advantages of the average NFL player.

So it's disappointing that these players aren't cordial and respectful to Trump, but it's completely ok for trump to be the same because he doesn't need the validation? I'm missing something here

I don’t know what more idiotic about this statement. The fact that the IQ score doesn’t even account for half of the Presidents because it didn’t exist before 1916 or that you truly believe that shite.
