Yards per attempt based on YAC, I don’t believe air yards.

The Alabama signal-caller is on pace to shatter the record for best single-season grade by a quarterback since PFF College’s inception in 2014. Heading into the College Football Playoff semifinal, Jones sits at a 95.3 PFF grade — 0.4 grading points higher than the record mark set by Joe Burrow in 2019. And let’s not forget Jones has done this facing solely SEC defenses.
Jones' accuracy and ball placement have been sublime. No Power Five quarterback generated a lower uncatchable pass rate (18.9%) or passing grade (97.4) on throws over 10 yards downfield this year than Jones.

What could you possibly be basing this on?

Not surprised that you have no idea.

In fact, he'll have the lowest number of attempts of anyone in the Top 5 in that metric, and the only one below 400 attempts. Hell, even Daunte Culpepper had 402 attempts back in 1998

4 of the top 10 are from 2020, tell me this isn’t an asterisk year

he has a grudge against Lawrence because in his Ree-tard brain he thinks everything is a zero sum, any positive comment about Lawrence is an attack or unfavorable comparison Burrow

In the OP he says Lawrence will finish around 85 (he’s 87 on the list at the moment) he frames that to be a knock on Lawrence but of course has no context like Lawrence is at 69% which is of course pretty fricking good. No it’s not as good as the all time record but that’s like saying someone that hits .394 is as good as someone hitting .407. 66 HR isn’t as good as 73. There’s actually no reason to mention Lawrence since he is not close to breaking that record and while records like that are nice and all they don’t mean a whole lot and aren’t the end all as to which QB is “better” and certainly not as particularly useful in who has the better chance of being a great pro

Dude is a great game manager
what?

I said what I said, hot take or not. I’m willing to own and eat it if he gets in the league and is successful. I just don’t think it will happen.

There have been no real challenges to Bama’s offensive talent this season.

What's crazy about that is that Jones has still thrown for over 4,000 yards despite so few pass attempts.

Bama WRs can just blow by all the 2nd and 3rd string DBs they faced this year. Their offense was basically just go route, Harris run, repeat as needed.

maybe, maybe not. I don't know.
What I do know is that he ISN'T a "game manager."

Put me on a team with nothing but blue chip OL and first round WR’s and I could probably break that record

Where are you currently playing?

I didn't know we had a professional football QB who posts on the MSB!
Interesting.

He has made the throws but watch the film. His receivers are sucking up throws off target and the rest of the tape are screen passes that get taken for twenty plus yards, devonta Smith wide open for easy bombs etc
