Oh I was supposed to know all last year that westbrook would be hurt and have Covid and put up a true shooting % that would have ranked him dead last among all nba players? That is funny. Things change all the time in the nba and injuries happen. it you say the lakers wjll beat the Suns and then they lose bc AD is hurt, is that a gotcha for someone else? Of course it isn’t. All predictions include an unspoken caveat that teams will be healthy. You can’t predict injuries.

Well for someone like AD you can but that is besides this point.

And some remain the same. Like kawhi losing out early in the playoffs to a team with inferior talent. We prob a day or two away from moving luk over him in the player rankings

Griffin is not on the court when the game is being decided. With 4 minutes left in a tight game, everyone is playing their arse off on defense. no matter how hard jrue holiday tries, he can never play offense like harden. Harden however has locked up many players many times late game, bc the situation calls for elite defense.

Defense can be turned on when needed via effort. Offense cannot.

it is common basketball sense.

Defense is about effort. Any player can be much better at defense just by trying harder.

Offense is not the same. Effort doesn’t make you a better offensive player. It is more skills based.

That is why the best offensive players get max contracts and someone like Tony Allen got paid peanuts.

Offense is more valuable. By a lot.

Exhibit A

quote:

James Harden has a 35.9 Defensive FG% in the playoffs so far That ranks 1st in the NBA playoffs this year (min. 50 DFGA)

But he don’t play defense they say. Yea When he is beating PHX by 20 in a Tuesday night he doesn’t.

That my friend is the difference between offense and defense..

That is actually what makes James the best.

Athleticism is of a similar profile, but what makes Luka better than James is his ability to take it to another level in the playoffs. Harden has had so many playoff failures and big game choke jobs.

Doncic top of the line son. Teaching these black dudes how to play basketball. Kawhi and George over there folding like beach chairs.

That’s just not true Harden is better in the playoffs this year by any metric and was better last year by any metric. .

You name it.

PER WS TS WS48 BPM VORP

all favor harden both seasons. Harden is better. harden being bad in the playoffs is a myth. In general He has been beaten by much better teams. Harden is top 10 all time in the playoffs in BPM.

Luka “take his game up a notch”

As he shoots 40% from the free throw line thru 5 games.

harden carried a team with Eric Gordon as Ryan Anderson as the 2 and 3 players to 55 wins in the west. The players who could do that, lebron and harden.

Did he run out of gas from carrying a subpar team to 55 wins? Or Was he concussed the previous game?

We will never know. That was not an embarrasing loss though, he clearly wasn’t himself.

Blazers loss wasn’t bad at all. That was 7 years ago too, harden has taken 3 leaps since then as a player. He was not even shooting a stepback back then.
