RIP Valbaw was a guy who looked like he always had fun out there. Didn’t like the teams he played for, but respected him as a player.

I am pretty surprised the Venezuelan winter league still exists. I dk why you would go down there to play right now

I've basically always wondered this. I had a close friend play in the Venezuelan league once, and they traveled with 3-4 armed police vans from town to town on bus. He said he and his American roommate never left their hotel room except to play baseball.

They should just stick to leagues in the Dominican or the Caribbean

Yeah especially when you’re an established major leaguer like Valbuena. I understand he’s from there but why risk that?
