Anyone heard anything on Lab's LHSAA appeal?

I'm assuming they'll know something today. Their final regular season game is tonight and I believe playoff brackets have to be put together this weekend.

My kid plays for Uhigh. We haven't heard anything from coaches or administration. We have no idea what's going on behind the scenes or any of the facts or actual allegations. I'll reserve further comment of the situation until it all plays out. I will say that as a dad of a player that's been there since kindergarten, I'm not happy about any of it.

I’m sick for these kids. I love to give uhigh admin and coaches shite but this is on them and not these kids. Lots of great seniors in this class and a shame if the Adults fricked this up for them

From what I am told, it has to do with a kid who transferred from Liberty and apparently he wasn't in the right transfer zone or some bullshite. And that the people who turned U-High in have been sitting on this information for a while and waited til now to pull the trigger, which is some petty shite also.
Andy Martin is not a rogue coach who runs around doing shady stuff. U-High did their due diligence in making sure the kid was eligible and still ended up being on the wrong side of it. The damned attendance zones change, people move, etc. and technically the kid probably was ineligible.
But the whole situation is horseshite, making a school forfeit their entire season on a technicality. And the whistle-blowers playing possum until the final week of the season is also garbage.
I personally am not on either side of this...I just know people from U-High who are connected and have info. As a neutral observer I hope they win the appeal, based on what I have been told the facts are.

I was told it was two.

Probably correct. My understanding was that the Liberty baseball coach left to go to U-High and a couple students followed him--maybe kids who played both football and baseball?? Anyway, somehow some feelings at Liberty were hurt over all this.

Happens every year there was once a school that forfeited a bunch after week 10 was complete

That’s what some dads told me early this year and that there were rumors about one and he was only gonna play JV this year.
Sucks all around but there was talk about the transfers.

Any updates? With a game in a few hours you would expect there to be some resolution at this point

only a principal can file a complaint with the LHSAA, but that does not mean it was the Liberty principal that filed the complaint

I think they changed that.

I think it was Catholic. They bitched and moaned about all sorts of shite after Lab beat them early in the season.

UHigh is given every advantage in the world. They should never cheat.

After how the Lab school players acted after the final whistle I wouldn’t blame Catholic.
