Lulz.
You're right, we should follow Kentucky's shining example.

He's long said, as long as Stanford wants him, he isn't going anywhere. His Dad coached at Stanford, Shaw played at Stanford.
Plus, you'd be getting another version of Miles.

Because you still have an actual staff in place. Les has known everyone on that team for years you don't think they are going to get fired up to send him out on a high note you're crazy.
What about your recruits? Les has a relationship with them and can help smoorh the transition. Now you're about to get raided.

See USC, Texas, Florida etc as examples.
They lost two games in September to unranked teams. They are going to end up like that if they keep Miles.

You're happy Les is gone I get it. But it could have been handled much better than it was.

For not firing him last season? I agree.

I don't think people are wrong for wanting him replaced. I do believe there are some fools who think LSU will just get whoever they want and that guy will instantly be better than what Miles has turned in for the last 11 years.
You can make the move if you don't think Miles has it anymore, but don't kid yourself about the history of countless programs who took multiple hires to get the right guy.

It's okay to acknowledge this. It's just that it's not okay to use this to justify not changing. It is also possible that some programs kept their guy around too long.
