BREAKING: Athletic director Tom Jurich has been fired by the University of Louisville board of trustees by a 10-3 vote @WHAS11

Would your school hire him after he allowed Pitino to go rouge all those years?

As long as he keeps the program successful and clean he can wear whatever color he wants.

Keep in mind, you're going to take his family to be employed with his 2 country club membership and bar tabs paid for by your school. Louisville was paying him over 5.6 million/year....plus, he pocketed some Addidas money. He maybe good, but he'll rob the athletic program blind.

Cry your Card tears. They are tasty. UL Athletics in long run will be better off. The man thought he ran the city until Papa came on board.

Too many egos and good old boys in Baton Rouge. Would not be a good fit.

Isn't he going to be a bit toxic after protecting/hiring two of the biggest scumbags in sports?

Not probably, he is the best AD in the country. He was completely done wrong in this. Papa John guy John Schnatter played a big role in his firing

Lulz, what? He told the fricking president of the school he would not fire Pitino. Let's not get into the Sweet deal he set up with the Yum Center fricking the city. And, let's not act like his son on the payroll was justified. Come on man, you're freaking Louisville..,the program is bigger then Tom Jurich.

Your kidding right?

I mean I guess have your athletic department investigated by the FBI could be considered a good thing.

Oh and to allow the basketball coach to pocket all that money while thr school received crap. I guess our definitions of best are different.

Wait, what? His daughter got that position at Adidas right about the time him and Pitino pocketed 98% of that Adidas contract money that was in part supposed to go back into the University and he refused to fire Pitino when directed to do so by his boss (Postel). He was also knee deep in the issues with the University of Louisville Foundation that got Ramsey fired.

ETA: Then you throw shade at Schnatter who is the financial reason you have half of the athletic facilities you do.
