Padre fan checking in.
The reason is because I lived there for 10 years.

Been an Astros fan since the ‘70s. Games used to be carried on radio here and made almost annual trips to Houston as a kid.
Take your trolling elsewhere.

My dad was a die hard Cardinals fan. I'm an Astros fan. My walls as a kid were covered with Biggio and Bagwell posters

Lifelong Rangers fan. Buddy Bell was my favorite player growing up as I played 3rd. Nolan Ryan is my favorite player of all time. Been going to games since the early 80’s. Seen three different parks and still can’t believe we would sit in old Arlington stadium in the summers. Miss the Ballpark. My favorite of the 3. Remember when it was built along with Camden. They both were built in an older style. I understand building the new one because Arlington get so hot in the summer but it has no ambience

My 94 year old dad was also a Cardinals fan since his childhood. I never had a favorite team until I moved to Dallas in 1983. Have been a Rangers fans since. Pulled for the Astros when they were in the National League. Hate them since Bud Selig got his wish, and MLB put them in the Rangers' division. F him and his family.
ETA: Saw my 1st MLB game in the Astrodome. Mets right fielder and NOLA native, Rusty Staubb, hit a HR that landed seven seats to my right out in the right field bleachers.
The next MLB game I attended was a 1986 Ranger game. I was sitting in the Auxiliary B press box (electronic media) working for Sports Network. All I did was call in updates during the game. I scored the game and kept a separate sheet of stats with stuff like every pitcher's pitching line, extra base hits, stolen bases, lob numbers and we kept game winning RBI in the 80's. I had to go over all of that with them after the game. Sat in the box above 1st base side with all of the local radio and TV guys.
Bobby Valentine was the manager and Tom Grieve was the GM. rookies that year were Kevin Brown, Jerry Browne, Pete Incaviglia, Dale Mohorcic, Rubén Sierra, Mike Stanley, Mitch Williams & Bobby Witt.

1) Living in New Orleans, Houston Astros being the closet MLB team
2) Was on Fox Sports Southwest all the time when I was a kid.
3) New Orleans Zephyrs being the AAA affiliate for the heart of my childhood.
