Neville dominated Lutcher with a good game plan....Pollard AND Runner are great in the backfield...defensive front solid....special teams above average with place kicker and punter...Franklinton very good ...Neville wins 24-18

Franklinton is going to score 40 or 50 points. Neville is going to have to outdo that to win.

riiiight. everyone knows Roth refuses to play. He doesn't want to lose his kids in JP to Curtis.

He does refuse to play. I'm not disputing that at all. Your reasons are wrong however. Curtis pretty much gets who they want anyway. Just look at last years Jefferson Parish league.....The best 4 running backs in the parish are at Curtis right now.

The only school to benefit from a Rummel-Curtis game is Curtis. No thanks.

Ive been saying all along that Neville's secondary is very weak. We will find out this week.

They shocked me last week.

Rummel will fold up and call it quits in the 2nd quarter.

Neville made some personnel changes in the 2ndary last week. They've tightened up.

I'm just saying Franklinton is going to get theirs regardless. Neville is a great and could possibly win the game, but if they are going to do it they will have to outscore that high powered offense. Franklinton can run the heck out of the ball and they throw for touchdowns when they pass.

has Franklinton ever won the state title? I am from there but went to BGS so didn't follow them that closely. I know when I was in school, Bogalusa was the powerhouse

Franklinton played for the state title and lost in the early 80s. They might have won one back in the 60s or something that I don't know about.

Really? That was my first thought when they announced the score at the WM game. I was thinking yall had moved Runner to CB and maybe Pollard to Saftey with the really small Saftey #46 i think to corner.

Franklinton went to the dome my senior year.. 81-82. We lost to St. Martinsville 14-7 or something like that. Very glad to see them going back this year. I think the coach will keep the boys focused and they will come out ready to play next week.

Just to ask, is the Evnagel Curtis game what the LHSSA wanted every year when they forced the move down for these schools?

No, that's not why they did it. They did it to try and bankrupt both schools. The theory was Curtis and Evangel have 1A-2A enrollments. They were getting a lot more money by playing 5A schools with larger crowds. Basically they would bring their 1,000 or so to a crowd of 10,000 and get a 50/50 split.

ok, so we;ve come to the conclusion that Rummel and Franklinton have no shot.

Lets talk about the other games here then.

Since when?

I think just about everyone outside of Monroe/West Monroe thinks Franklinton will win.

Now I agree most think Rummel have no shot.

I thought everyone's opinion was Franklinton would win rather easily.

Yeah, Rummel is being given no shot pretty much. I don't feel that way though. West Monroe = 02 Miami, Rummel = 02 OSU. We all know how that turned out.

Moved Diarse to corner. Everything else was pretty much the same. He had an interception on the second drive almost another on the third. Lutcher pretty much stopped passing after that. For the record, I don't remember Diarse ever lining up on Landry. Instead they put the 5'6" 140 lb corner, Jamar Bowie, on him when he was lined up wide and a safety when he was in the slot. When Lutcher got the wind at their back I was just waiting for them to throw a fade to Landry with shortest guy on the field covering him. Never happened. That small safety #46 is a badass. He had the other pick and he blocked a punt with somebody trying to block him.

You and me both. But Gavin was having a hard time getting a grip on the ball. TV did no justice as to how "wet" it really was out there. It was horrible

He's a safety. Neville runs a 4-2-5. #15 and #46 are Strong safeties but they play them close to the line of scrimmage. ETA: #46 is a 3 year starter
